Books of 2012

This year I didn’t even come close to my goal of reading 50 books.  Honestly, I’ve been in a slump the last few months and reading just hasn’t been very appealing with everything else that is on my plate.  I go through those spurts sometimes — and then I’ll go right back to reading a book every few days — it’s just one of those things.  Once again, I’d like to read 50 books next year.  One of these years I’ll meet my goal!  I received a Kindle for Christmas, so I figure that will probably help!

Overall, my reading was pretty blah this year — pretty tame and not even diversified.  I have started to really like the dystopian young adult series, but I also think that their negative undertone isn’t very motivating for plowing through books quickly.

My favorite book this year would have to be Gone Girl.  It was totally unexpected and I loved that!
