Thus far, the preschool transition is going very well.  Clara and Anna have not had accidents at school (knock on wood) and seem to be having fun.  All three are exhausted by the time they arrive home (they refuse to sleep during rest time — big surprise!).  Let’s hope the trend continues.

I’m adjusting too.  I’ve pretty much been running around like a chicken with a my head cut off trying to do a million things I’d been putting off, teaching, and trying to prepare for our Disney trip.  I miss them during the day, but I’ve been so busy it’s made an easier transition for me.

The photos above are some of their lunches from last week.  While I do try to encourage them to make healthy choices most of the time, I’m obviously not a stickler.  They eat more than their share of treats and sugar  – as well as prepackaged items – so their lunches are a good mix of the two as well.  I bought several items at Trader Joes — the yogurt star cookies, the Ritz type crackers, etc. and the rest is from our local Hy-Vee or Costco.  I won’t be winning any awards for fancy lunches any time soon, but I’m getting into the groove of packing them!

Fridays I’m allowing them to have the purchased school lunch which was apparently a big hit on Friday.  🙂

I’d say they look pretty good. Hate to see what Drake’s lunch would look like if I had to pack one every day — can we say PB&J? 🙂

I have been packing lunches for awhile now…and they look a lot like what you packed (less any wheat products as our son has celiac)….but what I really want to know is where you got these little lunch boxes with the compartments (or more like built in tupperware like containers). Our lunch boxes are kind of trashed and I’m ready to get new ones and these look awesome. Please share.
