I am constantly searching for new and fun activities for the kiddos. That probably explains a bit of my love for Pinterest… When I first saw the BabbaBox I jumped at the chance to review one – it’s a great idea! Each month, a new box is sent to your home with a specific theme and kid-friendly activities. The box I was sent to review was a rainbow themed box. It included instructions and materials to have an entire unit on rainbows.
Inside the box we found a story book about rainbows, an umbrella, a prism with instructions and activities, coloring pages, bubbles, instructions and materials for pipe cleaner bubble wands, and the star activity – a white hat that becomes a rainbow hat.
In all honesty, the girls are probably still a bit too little for many of the BabbaBox activities (they are made specifically for ages 3-6) but Bo was the perfect age and loved it. It was a great way to sneak a bit of learning into our crazy summer and it provided me with several projects that I didn’t have to hunt the aisles of Hobby Lobby for the right materials, click on Pinterest for instructions, etc.
My one complaint is that the box is made for one child – it would be nice to be able customize the box for more than one child. For example, I wouldn’t need three prisms, or three sets of bubbles – but three sunhats would have been nice. I made copies of the coloring pages, but having those included for each child would also be a perk.
Overall, the BabbaBox is a great concept and I’d definitely be interested in the monthly boxes if anyone is interested in buying them for our family for Christmas.

BabbaBox has generously agreed to giveaway a BabbaBox to one lucky Sticky Feet reader. The box you receive will probably be a different theme, but will contain everything you need!

These sounds like something Connor would enjoy. I am going to have to look into all the different boxes. What a great way for kids to experience something different!
This would be awesome to save for Drake next spring since I’ll be home with him now. Sounds like the perfect rainy day activity!
Fun! Like you, I’d find a way to make it work for more than one child- for my twins. What a great idea!
I need something like this soooo badly. I completely fail at being and artsy/crafty parent. My kids go to daycare so they get to do a lot of fun things there…but they are getting older and I would like to have some more organized activities for us to do together. William is 4 and would LOVE this. And although Genevieve is only 21 months…she is sooo into painting and art and her teachers tell me she will sit and paint for almost and hour when most other kids in her class last about 12 minutes. I’m bookmarking this site. I really think if I had something like this…we would do more things at home.

Im sure Kennedy would love one. They look like a lot of fun! I bet your kiddos had a blast with them too!
That looks like it would be right up our alley, a box that comes to me that already has all the pieces to do the craft and learning activity, perfect! I have two boys, Nicholas 4 and William 2 1/2, since it sounds like this is geared more towards Nicholas’s age group I’d say he’d be the one to enjoy it. He is at that perfect age where he wants to learn about everything, his questions are endless (and I mean endless), but he does ask some good ones and he loves nothing more than an art project, especially one that involves scissors or glue, or even better, both!
I would love a box for my grandson. It’s amazing how different little boys are compared to little girls, especially since I’ve raised all girls and he is my first grandson. I’m not creative the slightest bit when it comes to planning projects, so this would be extremely helpful.
It’s great that I stumbled across this review. I have been looking for fun activities to do with my son while his mother is at classes, and that’s when I found this. I’m not a creative guy, can barely draw stick figures and in all honesty have a hard time planning things like this for my son. I think it would be a great chance for fun father-son time.
