You can see what we did in May here.
This month:
- We went to visit the Hunn family in Wentzville.
- We moved my desk into the guest room.
- Jim and Sherri came down to pick up fence sections and brought supper.
- Abby started watching the kids many afternoons so I can squeak in some work time.
- We ate some yummy pork chops cooked by the Oglesby Ambulance Association.
- I did many loads of laundry. Loads with lots of little girl underwear.
- Bo had three t-ball games and the season ended for the year.
- We went to Culver’s for ice cream after one of Bo’s games.
- Jamie cleaned out her closet and dresser drawers. And the kitchen cabinets. And the rest of the house. For the garage sale.
- Jamie went to yoga (once – with Bonnie) and started the local running clinic.
- Jamie and Mike met for lunch a few times during Jamie’s work hours and were able to dine sans children.
- Jamie took the trio to the library for story hour several times. They made some cute projects including watermelons and 4th of July decorations.
- Mike worked overtime on a Saturday morning.
- Jamie went to Chicago with her friend Jen to see Motherhood the Musical — and to shop and eat – of course.
- Mike’s co-worker, Chivohn and her family came over for pizza and a playdate.
- The trio played in the sprinkler.
- The trio and I met up with the Blakney’s at Baker Lake and the mall a few mornings to play.
- Bo, Clara, and Anna all had their preschool physicals.
- Jamie made a mad dash to Effingham for the arrival of Baby Mack.
- We went to the Wisconsin Dells.
- Abby and Jamie took Bo, Clara, and Anna to the Thursday morning movie at the Peru Mall. It was Clara and Anna’s first movie and we saw Over the Hedge. They all did very well.
- We had a self-proclaimed “Kilmartin week” with dinner at the Kilmartin’s house, a couple of playdates, and Jamie was able to escape to have dinner with just Laura. It was amazing – without our six kids we could actually have a full conversation!
- Jim and Sherri watched the trio for about 24 hours so we could work on setting up our garage sale. We did lots of work on the house and the sale and even managed to go to Olive Garden for dinner and do a bit of shopping at Target.
- We pulled out the splash pools for the kiddos.
- The Duttlinger’s came over for a “dance party” playdate that Bo had been waiting for since March.
- Jamie and Abby took the trio to the LaSalle pool to swim and have a picnic. Fun was had by all.
- We held our 3rd annual garage sale and made a decent sum to put towards our upcoming Disney trip.
- After a long day of tending to the garage sale and packing up, we ended the month with a bang at Oglesby’s Summer Fest. The kiddos rode several rides (pictures coming this week) and enjoyed Italian ices.
This month passed by in the blink of an eye! Bring on July!
