Last Wednesday, Mike and I packed up the trio and headed into Brookfield. In yet another example of how being perpetually early isn’t always a positive trait, we arrived 45 minutes before the gates opened. Luckily, we found a park nearby and enjoyed sliding and swinging until the zoo opened. Obviously, Mike was in touch with his inner child that day… We ended up buying a year membership for the zoo – with a family of five, it’s actually cheaper. We’ll definitely be utilizing it this year as I don’t think we managed to cover even 1/4th of the zoo that day. We went to the dolphin show, road the motor safari, took a spin on the carousel, ate a picnic lunch, and saw lots of animals. The trio liked the giraffes best. It all sounds serene but in reality, we had our fair share of meltdowns, a busted lip, and three kids who were hot messes for the trip home. However, the negatives are already starting to fade and I’m ready for our next zoo adventure.

More of My Writing…

Mine just love the zoo – it’s just one is 1.5 hours away and costs money the other is 2 hours away and is free. I think the next time we are going back to the one that is 1.5 hours away I think it has more to do.
Is that how your three sits in their wagons now?
Last question – the dress in your family pictures – where did you get it from?
