I know I keep dropping mentions of Pinterest, but I’m truly in love with this site. It’s so inspiring and has so many great ideas. It seems like I should challenge myself to complete 5 projects a week from items I find there – I am sure I could easily do it!
I’ve made several recipes – the last two Monday Munchies were inspired from finds on Pinterest – and I’ve also made Coconut Lime Banana Bread and a few other goodies from there as well. Wondering what to add to your menu plan this week? I am sure Pinterest has some great ideas!
I also love all of their ideas for kids. There are tons of neat projects, holiday ideas, interesting ways to make food and treats, birthday party themes. So much neat stuff! Yesterday, it was just too hot to take the kids outside to play after nap, so I decided to let Bo try his hand at Fruit Loop Necklaces that I found on Pinterest. All I needed was yarn and Fruit Loops – pretty easy! And besides working on his eye-hand coordination it also kept him busy for nearly an hour! Woohoo!
I’ve also been lacking decorations for our bathroom walls. (Yes, we’ve lived here two years. Yes, I am just now decorating. It’s been a little busy…) I bought a frame that I liked around Christmas but I hadn’t found anything to put it in it. This week, I saw a similar design on Pinterest and decided to see if I could create something similar. Here is my finished project and it was free! I had everything, including the frame, in my basement. I just used scrapbooking supplies (I used to paper scrapbook before Bo was born) and the frame that I’d previously purchased. Mike and I are both having fun leaving silly notes. I’m sure the novelty will wear off, but we’ve both made each other smile with our messages this week.
I’m not being paid by Pinterest to write this, I really do just like the site. I think it may even inspire me to start trying to teach myself how to knit again…
I’ve added a “Follow me on Pinterest” button on the sidebar. Click through and follow me if you’re there!

I love the “I love you because…” frame! Such a cute idea. It’d also be a great chore frame, or “what’s for dinner”, or even menu planner, in a bigger version!
Thanks for the idea… I’m totally snagging it.
Agreed! I made the crockpot barbeque chicken tonight and it was delicious!!
I’ll have to check out that site… I’m just worried it’ll make me feel woefully inadequate when I think of all the projects I *should* get to but *don’t.*
I left you an award on my blog — no pressure of course, just wanted to give you some kudos!
It is really inspiring for me too. All this stuff has always been out there, it just wasn’t as easy to find. I’m not even blogging about all the stuff I’ve found to do. I think the kids are enjoying it too.
