The one gift that I really wanted for Christmas, I didn’t receive this year. No, it wasn’t fancy jewelry (although jewelry is always nice…) or a new car. I really just wanted my own copy of Stephanie O’Dea’s Make it Fast, Cook it Slow
Cookbook.
I originally checked this book out from our library in early December and tried several recipes.
Everything I tried was great and I had many more bookmarked to try but my renewal limit was reached and I grudgingly had to return the book.
The recipes I tried while I had the book included:
Chai Tea Latte – pg. 8
Peppermint Hot Chocolate pg. 13
Pumpkin Spice Latte pg. 15
Buffalo Chicken Dip pg. 25
Five-layer Brownies pg. 64
Peanut Butter Brownies pg. 72
Coq Au Vin pg. 256
A-1 and Dijon Steak pg. 297
Chex Party Mix pg. 386
Crunchy Roasted Garbanzo Beans pg. 391
Pumpkin Pie pg. 421
Stephanie recently released another cookbook – More Make it Fast, Cook it Slow
and I’d love to own her new book as well.
Crockpot cooking is ideal for my life. I can make it early in the morning or during nap and it’s ready without a lot of prep during the “witching hours” at our house. Even the baking recipes (I made the banana bread from the first book on Tuesday for a playdate!) are no-fuss. I like being able to put it all together and walk away. With real baking, if I’m in the midst of a diaper derby, a few extra minutes in the oven can quickly ruin the recipe. A few extra minutes in the crock — no big deal!
Stephanie’s recipes are family friendly and even gluten-free. The newest book is budget-friendly as well!
Are you interested in winning one of these cookbooks and trying these recipes for yourself?
Because I like my readers so much, I’m giving away a copy of each of Stephanie’s books (I think that justifies the copies I ordered for myself too, right?). All you have to do is hit the LIKE button to LIKE Sticky Feet on Facebook in the sidebar. All Facebook fans will be eligible to win! If you would like to receive an additional entry, encourage your friends to LIKE Sticky Feet on Facebook as well!
*Disclaimer – this is not a paid review and I have no connection to Stephanie O’Dea besides the fact that she is also a blogger (http://crockpot365.blogspot.com/). I just love her cookbooks! These prizes will be purchased with advertising funds and have not been provided by an outside source.*

I was just looking at these books 2 days ago. I would LOVE a copy of one of them.
I’ve been trying a lot of her blog recipes ever since you told me about her. I, too, would love to own her cookbooks!

Soooo exciting! Who knew that the slow cooker could have such an effect on the culinary world of America? I followed her resolution and frequent her site. Thanks for supporting her! Hope I win one!
I like it, so I “like”ed it.
I love crockpotting….have several different sizes. Hope I am lucky! Thanks
Can you consider this my entry? I don’t have FB…
I proudly own four slow cookers that sit in a row on my counter bar practically dancing up and down singing “pick me, pick me” when it comes time to start the cooking process:) It’s not uncommon to have potatoes, meat and a dessert or veggie bubbling away at the same time. The best part, that makes this possible? All the recipes on “A Year of Slow Cooking!” Stephanie has taught me how to love to cook, without it being another task to complete:)
I’d LOVE this book! Her blog rocks my world, so I’m sure her book would as well!
These books look awesome. I desperately need them. When are you picking a winner?
I love these cookbooks too, and like you, I get them from the library. Sadly, I don’t Facebook, so can’t “LIKE” you, but wanted to put my HOORAH in your comments for the books. They’re great. Maybe one day I can get them, but for now, it’s just the library for me.
Crockpot recipes that are gluten free? What a find! I likes you on facebook. However, I wasn’t able to do so through your fb link. It looks like your personal account came up. I found you through the search box on fb. I am also following you on twitter.
I use my slow cooker really often, and am always looking for new recipes.
Looks like a great cookbook
I have been loving her website lately. I’ve made several really good and healthy things from it so far. Her cookbook would come in very handy.
Thank you for this generous giveaway! I’d love to own either of these books!
I’m a fan on fb already and I’d love to win these cookbooks. I love using my crockpot!!
I would love to win a copy of this cookbook.
I’ve “liked” your FB! Hope I’m the lucky one!
