Today, my Grandpa would have turned 98 years old. Last year, on his birthday, I saw this.
My Grandpa was a phenomenal man. I could write a book about how he shaped my life and how many of my philosophies stem from him. There are a million things I could say. Hundreds of connections I could make. Lists of things that he did for me and the countless hours we spent together.
Instead, I’ll just say – “Happy Birthday, Grandpa! I love you!”

If you write that book, let us know.
Happy Birthday to you Grandpa. I love that picture.
This post made me smile–I love the look on your face as you're looking at him. I'm so sorry that he's gone. Happy birthday to him.
Beautiful picture. I was exceptionally close to my grandfather too. He was like a second father to me. He passed away 15 years ago, at age 69 from cancer. I miss him every day too.
See the twinkle in your eye? That comes from Grandpa Gib! You were the gift he received 5 months early the year you were born. You were so lucky to have him be there for you, along with your Mom he helped form the wonderful person you are. Those of us that have you in our life are blessed. You are an AWESOME Daughter, Wife, Mom and Friend and I am sure your Grandpa has so very much to do with that.
Through you Jamie he does live on and aren't we lucky;)! Mary Lou
