Thank Yous and Wishes

For the most part, we have the logistics of the next few days figured out. I’m trying very hard not to jump too far ahead of myself and hoping for the best for my mom’s eye surgery this afternoon and my OB appointment tomorrow. We will be re-evaluating the situation tomorrow evening when I return home from the OB and I’ll update the blog with where everything stands at that point.

It means a great deal to me that so many of you have offered to help in numerous ways — with Bo, with groceries, with cleaning, and I even had a blog friend offer to come with her little guy and stay if need be. I truly hope that I don’t have to ask any of you to do any of these things for me (because it means the babies are okay and I’m not on bedrest!) and that we’ll be able to manage — but knowing that you’re out there if it does get to that point really helps my sanity. I appreciate all of you and I am so thankful to have so many wonderful people who care about us in our lives.
A special “Thank You” and shout out needs to be sent to several people who have helped us through the weekend and who are making the world continue to spin through Tuesday: my in-laws, Becky, Kelly, Cynthia, Mandy, Mike and Mary Lou. You are all appreciated!!
Also, a big “Thank You” for all of the birthday wishes — the cards, emails, Facebook wishes, tweets, and comments mean the world to me. The day was very rainy and dreary and really didn’t feel like my birthday at all — but it was a good day anyway! I was able to take a nap in the afternoon while Bo napped and we had a small party at our house with a cookout. The theme was truly “minty” and I received lots of yummy minty goodness to enjoy over the next few weeks along with several gift cards to use for items we will need for the new house. The best part of the day was just being able to spend it with some of my favorite people.
I’ll be tweeting with updates on my mom and at my appointment tomorrow. I’ll post a full update tomorrow evening. Keep your fingers crossed for us that my mom’s surgery goes well, the twins are doing well, my uterus is not contracting, and I have not continued to dilate. Those are my wishes for the next two days!

Even though our support system in Olney is lacking.. and we have always lived here. Our family is all gone except for my cousin, Mike, who has volunteered to help when needed. I am truly grateful to all these people that are volunteering to help Jamie and I, right now. Many many thanks to Ms. Mandy for helping evening with Bo this next week, Mike and Mary Lou for taking her to her appointment Tuesday, Ms. Becky for taking me to Evansville and babysitting with Bo tomorrow, my niece, Kelly, Cynthia, for taking me to dr. appt tomorrow.
This is a very stressful time for us all.. I wanted to cancel this surgery—-have had encouraging reports from other who have had the surgery. Hopefully, I will be driving this week. One problem is not being able to lift 25 lbs. the Bomeister. Waiting for second eye surgery to be completed, too..
    Thanks again to all…

I will definitely be thinking of you and your mom tomorrow. I'm glad you have found people close by who are able to help (if need be).

Even if you don't need that help, you may still want to take them up on it a couple times a week just to help you relax more.

Crossing my fingers for no more dilation and a uterus that is content to remain occupied for many more weeks…

Your plate just keeps getting fuller, doesn't it? I just now got a chance to catch up on your recent posts. Hope everything goes well today and those babies decide to hang out for a while yet. Take care!
