Review and Giveaway: iPosture

I’ve always struggled with my posture. During my pageant years, I spent hours walking around the local photography studio where I worked in my 4 inch heels repeating over and over in my head, “shoulders back, tummy in”. For awhile, I’d won the battle.

But now, I spend so much time sitting at the computer in chairs that aren’t correct for this much computer usage — not to mention hours upon hours on the floor with Bo playing and reading books that my shoulders and upper back really pay for it. All the slouching I do during those activities that is…

Last week, I was sent the iPosture to review. It’s an easy to use device that attaches to a bra strap or necklace. When I would start to slouch the device vibrates, reminding me of the “shoulders back, tummy in” mantra of my younger years.

There is no doubt that improving ones posture can help with back pain, shoulder aches, etc. The iPosture also claims that women who improve their posture become more attractive and lose an average of 2 inches. I haven’t had the device for long enough to see those long-term effects but I could definitely benefit from losing those 2 inches!

Would you like to win an iPosture?

iPosture has graciously agreed send a free iPosture to one lucky reader. All you have to do is leave a comment telling me how you would benefit from the iPosture.

this is like having someone telling you to straighten up except you won’t have to hear their nagging voice, I could use this, I guess a good benefit would be I wouldn’t be slouching as much – that’s always a good thing

I wish you would have a longer review, I can’t really tell if it’s really effective, you didn’t say how you placed it on your body and it looks like exercise is also something that should be combine with the iposture, don’t care much for the name though…(sorry for the long comment)

  9. Jennifer says:

I just had a baby and am readjusting to my body not being pregnant. This would be a great device to help me!

Oh my gosh – yes! I have slight scoliosis and really don’t want to be a hunched back old lady. I need something to remind me – just like this.

I have such terrible posture that I’m pretty sure I’ve started shrinking. I really worry that I’m going to have a hump back (not joking.) It would also be nice if my bra straps would stop slipping off of my shoulders…

Wow, interesting. I took ballet for a looooong time, but always hated watching myself because I have such horrible posture.

I would LOVE this device. I used to have the best posture, as I played the violin for about 8 years. Once I quit that I got so lazy about my posture and now it’s horrible after sitting in a chair all day. Yuck. Thanks for the chance to win such a cool little gadget!

  25. cmp says:

This would be great for my daughter. She is 5’9″ and all her friends are shorter than her. Needless to say she hunches over instead of standing tall!

  26. Rachel says:

Yes, I need this. (I’m sitting at the table, slowly hunching over and then snapping back into upright position.)

Sometime would you write a post on how you get the opportunity to do all these awesome reviews?

  27. billie says:

    Wow, could I use this!

I’m a new mommy and have gotten into the really bad habit of breastfeeding slouched over. By the end of the day by back is screaming at me, but I’ve found I don’t remember to sit up straight until it’s too late. :(

By the way, I love your “Our Family” picture – so sweet!

What an interesting item. Being a parent, my back has started to show the wear and tear from carrying babies, using the computer and snuggling on the couch. I would so use this to help get me back to standing straighter! Heck at 5’4″ I can’t afford to slouch and lose some height! Thanks for the chance to win and the great giveaway!

I have never heard of this before!!

My husband goes nuts over my posture – it’s not that it is horrible, but I forget sometimes the “shoulders back, tummy in” routine entirely too much and I slouch. He has excellent posture, and if I won this you would make HIM happy to have a wife who gets reminded by a third party to have proper posture :)
I might even wrap it up and give it to him for a Valentines gift ;)
    I kid. :)

  37. Lydia says:

I have such bad posture that’s made even worse by all the bending over when I do photography. It would really help with the pain I feel after shooting weddings!

  48. jean says:

I am like you – I try to remember to have good posture, but sitting in a chair in front of a computer all day pretty much ensures that my posture will not be good. I’ve seen the ‘contraptions’ that you can attach to your bra, but thought it would be uncomfortable. This would be great – who couldn’t use to lose 2 inches from their waist?!

I often look at people who slouch and think they appear to lack confidence, and then I realize I am slouching… a terrible habit. Maybe this could help, even me! Thanks for sharing a great product.

What a great idea. I have terrible posture and find that the only time it crosses my mind is when I see myself in a mirror.

I could really benefit from iposture because my shoulders have been getting more and more hunched over every year and I would love to be able to stand up straight again!

I have such bad posture from sitting at a desk all day at work. I would love to have this device to help me. My chiropractor would love me forever if I could fix my posture.

I suffered a mild injury from sports that resulted in me not sitting up straight all the time..and this would definitely help me out!

Before I had baby Blair I already slouched way too often. Now that I have an almost 3 month old, I find myself bending into whatever position makes her most comfortable. This does not help my posture. I slouch in my chairs and when walking. When I think about it, I try to suck my belly in but honestly that doesn’t last long.
I would LOVE to win an IPosture!!
